Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Gorm Studio and related services provided by gorm the old LLC (including Gorm University where applicable). By creating an account, purchasing, or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1) Service and access
Gorm Studio provides image and video generation tools and Gorm University provides educational content. Access is for the purchasing account only. You may not share or resell account access, redistribute our course materials, scrape the service, or engage in automated abuse. We may update or remove features/content at any time.

Early access status
This is an early version of the product. At purchase time, the currently available content may be limited (including a single main lesson video). You are purchasing access to the product in its current state plus future updates we choose to add.

2) Payments and subscriptions
Payments are processed by Stripe. The checkout page and purchase flow show the price, billing interval, and subscription terms before payment. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel anytime through your billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals, and current-period access continues through the paid period unless access is terminated for fraud, abuse, chargeback, or Terms violations. Taxes may be charged where required.

3) Refunds
Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy.

4) License and restrictions
You get a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to access the service and to use our course materials for personal use. You may not copy, republish, distribute, reverse engineer, bypass access controls, share accounts, or create competing products from course materials. These restrictions on our course materials do not transfer ownership of your own inputs or outputs to us.

5) AI output, rights, and your responsibility
Gorm Studio, including Gorm Character Swap, processes uploaded videos, reference photos, prompts, and other inputs to generate AI outputs. Before submitting anything, you represent that you have the rights, permissions, and legally required consents needed to upload, process, modify, and use it, or a valid legal exception such as fair use. This includes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, and rights in a person's image or voice. Fair use depends on the facts; changing a character or using AI does not automatically make a use lawful.

You are responsible for your inputs, instructions, and how you use, publish, sell, or distribute outputs. Review each output for accuracy, consent, intellectual property rights, required disclosures, and compliance with applicable law before sharing it. Generated content can be inaccurate, misleading, similar to someone else's work, or unsuitable for your purpose. A successful generation, credit payment, or download is not legal clearance or permission from a rights holder.

You retain any rights you hold in your inputs and outputs, to the extent applicable law recognizes those rights. We do not claim ownership of them merely because you use the service, and we do not promise that an AI output is copyrightable, exclusive, or free of third-party rights. You grant gorm the old LLC a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, and modify your submitted content and outputs only as reasonably needed to provide the service, process your generation requests through service providers, support you, enforce these Terms, and meet legal obligations, subject to our Privacy Policy.

6) Acceptable use
You must not upload, request, generate, possess through the service, publish, or distribute content that violates applicable law or the rights of others. Prohibited uses include:

• Copyright or trademark infringement, or unauthorized use of a person's likeness, voice, or private information where permission or another lawful basis is required.
• Nonconsensual intimate imagery, including AI-generated or altered sexual depictions of an identifiable person.
• Child sexual abuse material, sexual exploitation of minors, or sexual content depicting anyone under 18, including synthetic depictions.
• Fraud, scams, deceptive impersonation, or fabricated participation or endorsements intended to mislead people.
• Unlawful harassment, threats, stalking, privacy invasion, or any other illegal activity.
• Malware, bypassing access controls, evading provider safety systems, or facilitating prohibited conduct for someone else.

These prohibitions apply even if a provider accepts a request or the service does not block it in real time. Nothing in these Terms authorizes illegal conduct or overrides anyone's legal obligations. We may investigate reports, remove or restrict content, and suspend or terminate accounts for violations, including repeat infringement. Report copyright, likeness, privacy, or illegal-content concerns through our IP & Takedown Policy or report form.

7) Disclaimers
Content is educational and informational only. No guarantee of specific business, financial, or performance outcomes. Not legal, tax, or financial advice.

8) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, gorm the old LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Total liability is limited to amounts paid by you in the previous 12 months.

9) Termination
We can suspend or terminate accounts for abuse, fraud, chargebacks, or Terms violations.

10) Age
This service is for adults only (18+). You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, purchase a subscription, or use the service.

11) Governing law and venue
Governed by the laws of Minnesota, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree to personal jurisdiction and venue in Minnesota for disputes arising out of these Terms.
